Job Description The Director, Revenue Cycle Management is an enterprise leadership role designed to provide support to the overall Revenue Cycle Division and direct the entire patient collections workflow. They will direct operational support areas of denials management, write-off management, vendor management and analytics. They will direct the operational area of SBO Customer Service. The span of control includes both hospital and professional provider services.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1. Provide oversight of all operations within the leaders span of control.

2. Establish priorities within the leaders span of control, utilizing input from internal and external stakeholders.

3. Manage the financial performance of operational departments within budget.

4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements related to the leaders span of control.

5. Develop and maintain a strong team through recruiting, selecting, mentoring and training capable leaders and staff.

6. Strive for continuous improvement by focusing on employee engagement, customer relations, quality standards and accountability, and performance standards and accountability.

7. Collaborate with other rev cycle senior leaders to execute on division-wide initiatives.

8. Maintain a system of thorough, accurate and up to date policies and procedures related to the leaders span of control.

9. Design a system to assist in managing Revenue Cycle vendor relationships including budget, invoice review and payment, performance management, contract monitoring, and strategy.

10. Design and maintain an organized approach to denials and avoidable write-off management.

11. Support the entire revenue cycle division with analytics needs, by producing reports and analysis, and by interfacing with other finance and BI teams.

12. Direct and optimize the SBO Customer Service function, including timely and accurate customer service, collections vendor performance, patient payment policies, financial assistance policies and patient payment options.

13. Support the organization remaining compliant with all 501(r) regulations pertaining to patient collections and financial assistance.

Job Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

**Education:** Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or other related area.

**Skills:** Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to lead teams and engage with all levels of an organization.

**Years of Experience:** Minimum 8 years in Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, 5 years of leadership experience and 5 years of Patient Access experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

**Skills:** Experience operating in a large multi-hospital setting.

**Certification:** HFMA CHFP
