Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various field surveys (topographic, boundary, utility) to identify natural and man-made structures on Earth's surface, underground, and underwater, and their relationship to right-of-way and boundary lines.
  • Establish grids, determine horizontal and vertical controls, prep survey sites, and clear obstacles for surveys.
  • Utilize survey instruments like robotic total stations, data collectors, GPS, etc., to gather field data.
  • Interpret construction plans, conduct necessary field calculations, and execute construction layout.
  • Take clear and precise field notes.
  • Research deeds, plats, and utilities.
  • Handle data files and images.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain field survey equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
  • Carry out all tasks following safety protocols and the Health and Safety Plan.
  • Display professionalism and uphold the company's values.
