Summary of the Position:

The Senior HR Generalist plays a crucial role in the organization by providing comprehensive human resources support and guidance. They are responsible for offering advice on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations, and implementing HR best practices to foster a positive relationship between employees and management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides assistance and coaching to employees and managers on complex employee relations issues, conducts investigations, and offers recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Suggests HR policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance, ensuring alignment with current employment laws.
  • Liaises with external partners and manages the uniform order process, resolving any discrepancies effectively.
  • Conducts exit interviews, identifies turnover trends, and conducts new hire orientation sessions for office staff.
  • Maintains employee files to ensure legal compliance, oversees I-9 forms and E-Verify processes.
  • Assists in performance evaluations and improvement plans, offering guidance and support.
  • Engages in special projects and other assigned tasks to support HR initiatives.
  • Collaborates with legal counsel in preparing legal summaries and partners with senior management as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with food safety standards and quality controls in the workplace.
  • Encourages knowledge-sharing and professional development within the team and across departments.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of HR experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR, or related field.
  • Prior experience in employee relations and labor relations roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client focus, collaboration, and influencing abilities.
  • Proven track record of working effectively in team environments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, organize workload efficiently, and resolve complex issues independently.
  • Familiarity with company culture, goals, laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer literacy.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
