Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic incident manager to join our Major Incident Management team. In this role, you will oversee the incident management process, ensuring swift resolution of IT operations and services disruptions. The position involves categorizing recurring incidents to enhance incident management protocols.

To excel as an incident manager, you must possess strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to multitask effectively during critical incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the incident management process and coordinating team members.
  • Setting priorities based on urgency and business impact.
  • Responding to reported incidents and leading the incident management process.
  • Tracking and closing resolved incidents.
  • Guiding support teams through the incident process.
  • Providing operational metrics for incidents and problems.
  • Adapting to flexible working hours as necessary.
  • Conducting problem management to address underlying causes of incidents.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in IT service management.
  • Proficiency in ITIL and service management platforms.
  • Experience with IT systems and applications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze technical data efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities.
