Production Control Planner



Main Responsibilities:

  • Creation of daily and weekly production schedules for final assembly, sub-assembly, and machining operations
  • Use of Enterprise Resource System (ERP) Inventory Management System to oversee inventory elements such as receiving, shipping, and supplier/customer communication
  • Follow-up on shipments and distribution
  • Support for balancing outs and running changes for customers
  • Management of change control functions to ensure quality and manufacturing capacity standards
  • Tracking of shipping status, parts follow-up, and reporting to support production schedule
  • Coordination of shipments to and from local warehouses
  • Validation of production counts and scrap transactions
  • Provision of daily line-ups to the team
  • Conducting cycle count analysis and controlling inventory entries
  • Coordination of special counts to ensure inventory balance accuracy
  • Assistance in plant cycle schedule and count confirmation
  • Response to schedule changes and planning around quality and supply chain logistics
  • Support in managing bailment activities when required
  • Backup support for team members during vacations or absences

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant years of experience
  • Desired experience in Material Planning and Logistics
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, etc.
  • Experience in Common Manufacturing Management System or similar ERP
  • Ability to work in a 7-day shift pattern
  • Capability to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making
  • Flexibility for significant travel during plant start-up
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Holding a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering Management, or related field

Experience:

  • Plant experience is beneficial
  • Familiarity with Ford Production System is advantageous
