Job Description:

Our esteemed client is in pursuit of a proficient Estimator to join their dynamic workforce and bolster their estimations department.

As the Estimator, you'll spearhead the task of meticulously gauging quotes, bids, and budgets for upcoming residential projects, with a primary focus on exterior construction.

This pivotal role demands an expert understanding of construction materials and methodologies, particularly within the realm of residential endeavors spanning from bespoke homes to production residences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrutinize project blueprints and specifications to grasp project scope and requisites.
  • Generate precise cost estimates encompassing materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
  • Assess project bids and budgets to ensure both competitiveness and profitability.
  • Foster collaboration with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to amass essential data for estimates.
  • Explore alternative materials and construction approaches to optimize project expenditure.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to elucidate project particulars and address any inquiries.
  • Oversee project budgets, furnishing updates as necessitated throughout the estimation process.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project estimation, preferably within residential construction.
  • Robust familiarity with construction materials and methodologies, particularly pertaining to exterior residential projects.
  • Proficiency in deciphering blueprints and construction specifications.
  • Outstanding analytical and mathematical acumen.
  • Techsavvy, with adeptness in estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Capable of thriving in a fastpaced environment, meeting stringent deadlines with ease.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a high level of precision in estimation endeavors.
