We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Drywall Estimator to join our team at GPAC, a leading provider of high-quality drywall services in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for drywall projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Perform site visits to assess conditions, gather measurements, and evaluate potential challenges.
- Prepare and review detailed cost estimates and bids, including material quantities, labor hours, and subcontractor costs.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain and update a database of historical costs and unit prices for materials and labor.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-bid reviews to address any questions or concerns.
- Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Drywall Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of drywall materials, installation methods, and construction processes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
