Modern Luxury is seeking an Associate Publisher for the AUSTIN office. The Associate Publisher is expected to have strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Candidate must be a team player and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Manages sales activities and overall direction of publication by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide leadership, vision and direction to department

heads and staff

Create and manage publication budget

Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales

territories, quotas, and goals

Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to

develop and control sales program.

Assigns sales territory to Account Executives.

Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist

sales representatives in promoting sales.

Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of publishing company.

Represents publishing company at professional meetings.

Coordinates liaison between sales and other

departments.

Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform

to budgetary requirements.

Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and

potential sales.

Directs preparation of special promotional features.

Maintain relationships with key accounts

Attend networking functions, seminars and special events

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES

Education

Bachelor's degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
