Plans and implements the overall outreach laboratory policies, procedures, and services for laboratory outreach program. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations, including department quality control and compliance adherence. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to Laboratory Services Director. Bachelor's degree and3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
National certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Specialist or Medical Technologist (MT) with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (HEW).MT preferred.
