Model Based Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Provide systems engineering support for technology-based product creation, development, and marketing. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting systems engineering projects as an engineer
  • Experience with MBSE methodologies using SysML, DoDAF, UML, Cameo, or MagicDraw
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
  • Experience applying systems engineering fundamentals to design or architecture for product development
  • Knowledge of minimum viable product (MVP) technology roadmap development
  • Knowledge of product development from project kick-off to production, including product design, specification defining, software development and version control, bug fixing, design change handling, schedule control, billof materials (BOM) analysis, and resource and cost management
  • Ability to manage client relationships
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Software

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) product development and procedures
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics preferred
  • INCOSE or OCSMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
