We have an exciting opportunity for an experenced Lab Technician who will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials, products in development, and manufactured products in the beauty or food industry meet specifications, quality standards, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

This position involves working in a laboratory setting, collaborating with various teams, and reporting to the Director of Quality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in formulation/re-formulation efforts for products, including researching/sourcing raw materials, manufacturing processing development, and documentation.
  • Liaise between product development team and customers, providing technical support as needed.
  • Conduct raw material sampling and identity testing to verify/validate conformance to manufacturer CofA in accordance with written procedures.
  • Ensure ontime and technically correct sampling and testing of raw materials as assigned.
  • Address and adequately document, and resolve technical issues that may arise from routine analysis.
  • Maintain accurate formula files, raw material and test samples, pilot batch samples, and applicable documentation, including process procedures, CofA's, SDS's, etc.
  • Provide technical support for investigations into nonconformities and assist with the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Help develop, implement/revise procedures, instructions, and testing methods as needed.
  • Conform to laboratory and plant safety practices and perform job duties in a safe manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be a selfstarter and have the ability to work independently; completing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
  • Associates of Science Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • 2+ years' experience in a laboratory environment or cosmetic/pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with or working in an ISO GMP) or ISO 9001 environment is a plus
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Project Management skills.
  • Problem Solving Skills with a keen attention to Detail
  • Interpersonal Skills and should be a selfstarter
