- The Invasive Cardiac Technology Specialist will employ a blend of expertise, evaluation, and technical proficiency in executing their responsibilities within the Cardiac Catheterization Labs. The entry-level Cath Lab technician is expected to assist and participate in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role necessitates the utilization of hemodynamic monitoring apparatus and ongoing assessment of the patient's hemodynamic condition and vital signs. The entry-level invasive technologist will also be tasked with managing imaging during the procedures. The work is conducted with a significant degree of autonomy. Meticulous record-keeping and a keen attention to detail are crucial.
- Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- Educational Background: Completion of a Cardiovascular Technology program or a Radiologic Technology program, or an advanced, comprehensive curriculum in cardiovascular specialization.
- Licensure/Certifications: Radiologic Technologists must possess ARRT certification and hold a valid license in the state of Maine.
- Professional Experience: Clinical exposure is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in sterile techniques.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with Windows operating systems.
