What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Partner with the Connections Ministry Leader and Connections team to develop and implement engagement strategies in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Southeast Christian Church.
- Launch home groups by identifying and training new leaders.
- Create a thriving leader development process for disciple making in home groups and collaborate with the Connections team for oversight.
- Lead a multi-faceted assimilation process that helps unconnected people become unleashed members who are committed to Jesus.
- Participate in or facilitate engagement pathway classes (Starting Point and Membership).
- Equip leaders to do the work of ministry.
- Provide pastoral support: hospital visitation, baptisms, weddings, funerals, Minister on Call and more.
Our Must-Haves
- Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Bible, Ministry, or Christian Education preferred.
- 3+ years ministry experience in a church setting.
- Ordained pastor or willing to become ordained.
- The ability to explain doctrinal issues and answer questions in a biblical and understandable manner.
- Strong work ethic and a team player who interacts well with staff, members and guests.
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church mantras in tangible ways.
