The Montana State Hospital (MSH) provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness and is the sole public psychiatric hospital in Montana serving individuals from communities statewide.

  • Provide assistance and support to clients in a therapeutic environment
  • Supervise and account for patients
  • Offer care as directed by medical and nursing providers
  • Observe, report, and document patient information
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and daily living tasks
  • Maintain patient rights and communicate effectively with patients

Employees who successfully complete training will work five consecutive 8-hour days with two days off. After a six-month probationary period, employees can bid for a permanent shift. Shift differentials and meal provisions are available.
