Virtua Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team on a part-time evening shift. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our psychiatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Provide therapeutic group and individual activities to promote patient engagement and emotional support.
- Collaborate with the RN to develop and implement treatment plans, including physical care and vital sign monitoring.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop strategies for improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric setting or with a behavioral health population.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree in psychology preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
