Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Montana State Hospital. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our patients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Physically observe and monitor hospital buildings and the campus to maintain safety and security.
  • Protect hospital property against fires and vandalism.
  • Respond to emergency situations as required.
  • Monitor and analyze information, events, or the environment to assess and resolve a variety of situations and circumstances.
  • Work cooperatively and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, other agencies, and the public.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
  • 1 year of working as a psychiatric technician or similar work experience with security and mentally ill patient treatment functions preferred.
  • Current driver's license.
