The The School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering (MIME) is seeking an hourly Academic Wage: Faculty Research Assistant. This is a part-time (0.40 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is anticipated to last approximately 2 months.
The Faculty Research Assistant will support the PI on research funded by an NSF grant on child-robot interaction. The Faculty Research Assistant will identify, analyze, and interpret primary data on child-robot interaction and their experiences. They will complete the design and evaluation of new robot hardware and software to support child-robot interaction in alignment with the grant's final-year aims and objectives. They will collaborate with graduate students and researchers in the Collaborative Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CoRIS) Institute. Why OSU? Key Responsibilities 70% Design robot hardware and/or software to support child-robot interaction. Analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions on the results of previously collected human subjects research.

20% Support robotics infrastructure in Dr. Fitter's research group
