As a Senior Technical Lead API SME Developer at Kyndryl, you'll be at the forefront of driving change and enabling our customers to harness the power of technology to achieve their wildest ambitions. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in adopting DevSecOps principles, emphasizing Behavior Driven Development and Code coverage. You'll bridge the gap between visual elements and server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and functions. Your expertise will span both front-end and back-end development, as well as maintaining the application database schema. You'll be expected to form strategic partnerships with key internal partners and subject matter authorities to achieve business results.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Technical Leader and SME in API technologies, integration practices and end-to-end delivery using technologies such as API C, Apigee, Kong, API M, Java.
  • Lead end-to-end, from strategy through execution. Proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Lead teams in Devops, SRE, Observability, and release rigor to achieve high release success rates and strengthen stability.
  • Guides work prioritization in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and optimize performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement and addressing any issues or bottlenecks.
  • Establish metrics to measure value, efficiency, and improvements.
As a trusted advisor, you'll forge strong relationships with our customers, gaining deep insights into their business objectives and long-term aspirations. Armed with this understanding, you'll provide expert guidance on how technology can be leveraged to propel them towards unprecedented success. From aligning processes to technology to developing and deploying bespoke solutions, you'll be the visionary architect behind their digital transformation journey. Your expertise in application development and deployment best practices will ensure seamless integration and optimized performance.

Required Skills and Experience
  • 7+ years in software engineering end-to-end delivery including leading team in solutioning, coding, and production support.
  • 6+ years in API Development, integration technologies and practices (such as API C, Kong, Apigee, API M, Microservices, Java, etc.)
  • 5+ years of working experience with REST API and JSON.
  • 5+ years of working experience in the Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.
  • 2+ years of experience using SQL, NoSQL and other databases.
  • 2+ years of working experience on Cloud technologies
  • 2+ years of experience working with Auth2.0 and other Security essentials.
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $107,400 to $204,000 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $118,200 to $244,920

Colorado: $107,400 to $204,000

New York City: $128,880 to $244,920

Washington: $118,200 to $224,520

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
