Responsibilities

The X-Ray Technologist plays a crucial role in positioning patients for radiological examinations to deliver personalized care and diagnostic services at home. They are responsible for producing high-quality radiographs to assist in medical diagnoses and conducting radiographs from various angles based on departmental needs.

As an X-Ray Technologist, you will:

  • Implement radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for patients and staff
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Conduct daily inspection of designated vehicles, x-ray machine, and other medical equipment
  • Coordinate with dispatch upon completing work for potential further assignments
  • Prepare images for interpretation by Radiologists
  • Ensure completion of all necessary department documentation, including daily log sheets and monthly cleaning logs, to meet company and regulatory standards
  • Process and review images for accuracy in identification and relevant clinical history to maintain quality control
  • Maintain and sanitize all equipment, upholding proper hygiene measures after each patient interaction
  • Adhere to universal precautions
  • Be willing to travel as required and assigned
  • Perform any other duties as delegated
Qualifications

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Active licensure as a Radiologic Technologist following state guidelines
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and commitment to Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and computer skills
  • Flexible, detail-oriented team player capable of functioning well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving competencies
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Science specializing in Radiologic Technology from an accredited university
