The Lexington Facilities Manager is primarily responsible for Manage Facilities Engineering and an Alliance partner to provide facilities engineering, power and energy management, utility plant and site infrastructure support, and facility planning services for the Lexington corporate headquarters campus. They will manage site contracted services including facility maintenance, mowing/landscaping, and janitorial services. Responsible for the review, update, and streamlining of corporate real estate and facilities processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs with standardization of process that can be applied globally, and ensure safety & compliance. Maintain 10-year capital planning and 3-year opex plans for site maintenance. Provide thought leadership in Green Building design and carbon footprint reduction to help Lexmark achieve aggressive sustainability targets.

Responsibilities

Review and estimate of design costs, labor, materials and other related costs in facility planning, and working with purchasing team on competitive bid tenders. Create facilities plans and work with external vendors to develop and implement those plans. Ensure adherence to company standards and compliance with applicable environmental, safety and health regulations, laws, and other applicable criteria. Develop criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment to meet unusual operating requirements and building and safety codes. Manage projects from design phase through implementation. Monitor and report project progress including measurement to approved capital and expense budgets (Some special individual capital projects that can exceed $3-$4M dollars) Manage Alliance partner performance related to Lexington facility operations (average of 20-25 people) Manage an average yearly budget of $2.5M-$3M dollars Capex and $10M dollars Opex. Continuously update site plans for emergency response, safety, renewable energy, and sustainability in cooperation with the site Environmental Health & Safety team and Emergency Response Team. Set department deadlines and manage team to maximize productivity and personal growth. Participate in conference calls and address urgent matters outside of normal business hours as needs require. Other duties assigned at manager's discretion.

Other Skills & Abilities

Ability to create and present business case information at the executive level and with key stakeholders. Ability to lead a technical team, communicate broadly to diverse groups inside and outside the company, and have financial acumen to develop business cases and manage budgets. Ability to make decisions with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results. Use sound judgment to avoid long-term negative impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or business. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet/internet. Use purchase order system, personnel management systems. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems. Vendor management experience. Ability to negotiate.

Education and Experience

Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering degree with focus on Facilities Engineering 10-15 years of related industry experience. Professional Engineering, LEED Accreditation, Facility Management, and similar certifications preferred. Prior maintenance and engineering management experience preferred.
