Job Responsibilities & Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and correct structural computer models from Engineer of Record.
  • Evaluate project financial feasibility and cost comparisons.
  • Create computer models and hand-draw project design details.
  • Develop efficient steel frame solutions.
  • Support sales staff and act as a liaison with the engineering team.
  • Participate in field visits for connection fabrication and erection.
  • Prepare structural calculations and drawings for submission.
  • Review shop drawings and RFIs.
  • Train junior engineers.
  • Understand project schedules and deliver documents on time.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering. 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and structural engineering software.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Professional Engineer license may be required.
  • Other Qualifications: Up to 10% travel time.
