Global Risk and Security at Vanguard team plays a crucial role in shaping business strategy, safeguarding client and Vanguard interests such as assets and data, and fostering a robust risk culture.

Within the Global Risk and Security team, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) unit is responsible for ensuring the worldwide protection of Vanguard's workforce, property, data, and client assets.

In this role, you will:
  • Investigate and respond to incidents related to insider threats by analyzing relevant user and system data.
  • Utilize specialized security tools to detect and analyze abnormal behavior and enforce security policies.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential insider threats.
  • Analyze information from various sources to assess internal risks to enterprise information and resources.
  • Support internal threat hunting activities and provide investigative support to business partners.
  • Contribute to developing security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate internal risks to Vanguard's workforce and resources.
  • Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
What it takes:
  • Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Obtain CISSP certification within one year of hire.
Specializations that will make an impact:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Experience with security technologies such as DLP, SIEM, EDR, UEBA.
  • Awareness of information security principles and practices.
  • Ability to maintain high integrity and work independently or as part of a team.
  • CISSP or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Additional Details:
Rotational on-call responsibilities are part of the role based in Dallas.
