PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Supports the mission, core values and customer service of Home Dialysis Services, Inc. (HDS) and DCC Dialysis Care Center.

Adheres to the companies' Policies and Procedures and Compliance Program including all state and federal regulatory requirements.

The Director of Education is responsible for the operations and the outcomes of the Education department.

PRIMARY DUTIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Provide leadership to all staff members of the Education department.
  • Responsible for the development of educational tools and curriculum for the company.
  • Responsible in developing educational content that will support ongoing educational development of the company's employees.
  • Work with the Quality & Regulatory team to provide necessary educational support in critical areas of need including staff education and development on an as needed basis to help clinics meet CMS compliance expectations and goals.
  • Ensure that all new employees receive a thorough clinical orientation and ongoing educational support.
  • Leader of the Educational Committee in tandem with the Chief Medical Officer for the company.
  • Participates as a member in the Policy & Procedure Committee.
  • Participates in corporate meetings and planned educational presentations as needed
  • Provide support to all company staff
  • Other duties as assigned

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Responsible for supporting the values and customer service standards of DCC
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all staff, clients and vendors
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
  • Initiates action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a leader who can work with a team to maintain a professional, productive and respectful work culture.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Day to day work includes desk and personal computer work and interaction with prospective and current patients and co-workers. The position requires travel between assigned facilities and various locations. Travel to scheduled staff meetings may be required.

The work environment is also characteristic of a dialysis center or a patient's home and as such, the employee may be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/ materials.


EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates (RN) or a bachelor's degree (BSN) in Nursing
  • Clinical training and clinical education experience required.
  • 68 years' experience in the Dialysis Industry is required.
