At Cocoon House, we focus on empowering young individuals, families, and communities in Snohomish County to break the cycle of homelessness through outreach, housing, and prevention.

Job Description:

As an After Hours Support Specialist at Cocoon House, your main responsibility will be providing a safe and supportive environment for teens in our care. This role involves promoting positive interactions, offering life skills, social skills, and organizing enrichment activities at our Youth Housing Programs in Everett and Monroe. You will work closely with program staff and management, requiring flexibility and the ability to handle various situations effectively.

Responsibilities:

Full-Time | On-site in Everett & Monroe
Starting Wages: $23-24/hr | +$1.50/hr pay differential for multi-lingual skills

  • Provide on-call after-hours shift scheduling and coverage, including responding to youth emergencies.
  • Engage with residents, assist with problem-solving, enforce guidelines, and support their goals.
  • Collaborate with staff, maintain training requirements, and ensure smooth transitions for residents.
  • Stay updated on licensing standards and respond effectively to crisis situations.
  • Be willing to work in different housing programs with short notice.
  • Complete additional assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with youth
  • Background clearance and acceptable driver's abstract
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and respond to emergencies
  • Operational knowledge of phones and computers

Compensation: $23-24 per hour
