The role you'll contribute:The Process Improvement Specialist is a qualified individual who, under the general direction of the Regional Executive Director, will provide project management and clinical analytic support to high priority cost and effectiveness initiatives throughout the system.

The Process Improvement Specialist is tasked with identifying inefficiencies in healthcare delivery services and solutions to re-engineer systems to improve the access, quality, and cost of care for beneficiaries and the organization.

This role will primarily focus on process analysis, time and cost studies, process simulation, process and productivity improvement in the clinical setting.

The position is responsible for providing a planned, systemic approach to identifying, designing, measuring and monitoring process improvement activities. Specific functions include tool design, customer database programming, clinical and cost data extraction, analysis and reporting.

  • Provides a weekly summary of project progress and learnings to the Executive Director for the communication cascadeto hospital executives and front-line staff
  • Assesses the needs for performance improvement across the region and evaluates and recommends prioritization inlight of projects and workloads at the hospitals.
  • Works as partners with hospital-based performance improvement team members as well as with other team membersthroughout the system.
  • Helps to develop a regional performance improvement plan with communication pathways.
  • Demonstrates commitment to patient safety and protecting patients and providers by advocating safe practices andpolicies
  • Holds paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public in the performance of professional duties and escalatespatient safety concerns to appropriate leadership, up to and including executives, with honesty and integrity
    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed

    Minimum qualifications :· Active Florida RN license required or active multi-state RN license· Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.· Associates degree in Nursing, or Healthcare related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in data analytics/process improvement OR healthcare setting+
    Preferred qualifications:
  • Change Management Certification
  • Team STEPPS Certification
  • LEAN Performance Improvement Certification
