Compensation: Hourly salary range $39.80 to $62.19. The hourly salary is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status. The pay range listed is hourly base pay; this position may be eligible for additional compensation, such as shift differential (applied to all evening and weekend hours), extra shift bonus, and on-call pay.

Position Hours: Wednesday-Friday 6:30a-3:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm (32.5 hours/week - eligible for benefits)

Position Description
  • Customer and Patient Satisfaction: Proactively and consistently understands the needs of our customers and patients. Effectively provides service and/or resolves problems. Dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers and patients. Works to create a positive experience for all. Contributes to team's ability to meet and anticipate customer and patient needs.
  • Technical Performance: Performs all ultrasound imaging procedures, properly preparing and positioning patients for imaging exams. Positions the patient appropriately to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest. Organizes and monitors patient flow so as to meet company productivity, quality, health and safety standards.
  • Communication: Utilizes clear and effective communication to properly screen patients prior to scan for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to ordered exam. Demonstrates ability to thoroughly explain procedure to be performed to alleviate patient anxiety and facilitate patient cooperation. Provides preliminary assessments, summarizes diagnostic data and communicates this information with diagnostic images to the interpreting physician.
  • Quality and Safety: Exercises independent judgment and problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information. Participates in Peer-to-Peer Quality program, making necessary corrections as needed to maintain quality standards. Coordinates or participates in federally recognized and approved accreditation process as necessary.
Position Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion/graduate from 2-4 year C.A.H.E.A. accredited ultrasound program, B.S. degree in ultrasound technology, or other equivalent course of study preferred
  • Current ARDMS registration required.
  • Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR.
  • Minimum of three years sonographer experience preferred.
