Vascular Sonographer Position Details:

  • Type:13 weeks contract
  • Shift Start Time: 8:00 am;
  • Schedule: 4-10s; 40 hrs/ week
  • Location: Kirkland, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vascular ultrasound examinations including carotid, arterial, venous, and abdominal studies.
  • Set up and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal imaging quality.
  • Obtain patient medical history and explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, answering any questions they may have.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, positioning them comfortably and applying ultrasound gel to the area of interest.
  • Use sound judgment to evaluate ultrasound images for quality and necessary diagnostic information.
  • Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to interpret ultrasound results and make preliminary assessments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ultrasound images for documentation and archiving.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.

Requirements:

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification in Vascular Sonography is required.
  • Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and related technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with patients and medical professionals.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Minimum of 18 months of experience as a Vascular Sonographer.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced Hospital environment.
  •  Current BLS certification
  • Two (2) positive work references
  • Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
