Job Summary:


The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will take the lead in developing, implementing, and refining manufacturing processes to boost production efficiency, ensure top-notch product quality, and drive cost reduction.

This role entails working closely with cross-functional teams to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and tackle complex engineering challenges.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will also play a crucial role in guiding and coaching junior engineers and technicians, offering them technical expertise and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development and Optimization:
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
- Identify automation opportunities and deploy suitable technologies to streamline operations.
- Analyze production data to spot trends and areas for enhancement.

Project Management:
- Oversee and execute engineering projects from conception to implementation, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, quality, and supply chain to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers as required.

Facilitate operations and customer training, transferring product repair and technical support knowledge to Technical Service teams.


Technical Leadership:
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to uphold product specifications and standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team for audits and inspections.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate hazards.
- Foster a safety-centric culture within the manufacturing team.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience.

Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Medical Technical Service and/or training, with advanced technological and/or clinical expertise in medical devices.

Including QMS and document control understanding

Proficient in effective communication across all operational levels within the organization, as well as with suppliers and customers, showing tact and diplomacy in achieving goals.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to present recommendations and summarize issues effectively.
Demonstrated track record in nurturing, mentoring, and motivating a high-performance technical service team while ensuring accountability for outcomes.
Capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Able to work independently with excellent team-building capabilities.
Self-driven, organized, and adept at problem-solving, with a sharp focus on detail and administrative tasks.

Demonstrates integrity, ethics, and a customer-centric focus, along with a positive mindset, results-driven attitude, action-oriented approach, and adaptability to changes.


Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, involving standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional travel might be necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment, with exposure to moderate noise levels, machinery, and occasional chemical fumes.
