Under the supervision of the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment, the Curricular Data Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the various data and databases used for student assessment and curricular management at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.


Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Curricular Data Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:


Works with the Director of Instructional and Curricular design, the curriculum committees and the faculty to support the continuous improvement, development, and use of the curriculum database.

Tracks and monitors course improvements, changes and regularly updates the deans in the Office of Medical Education.

Supports the continuous monitoring and review of the medical education curriculum.


Collaborates with staff in the Office of Student Affairs and Wellbeing, the Office of Medical Education (curricular and IEA), and faculty to ensure timely and accurate grade reporting, monitoring of student remediation timelines, and changes in student matriculation to ensure all data are shared and acted upon appropriately and in a timely fashion.


Coordinates, manages, and monitors the tracking of student final grades, including monitoring students who have not passed courses and clerkships.

Monitors timelines for remediation, and notifies the appropriate faculty, staff, and committees of final grades and changes to grades.


Works with the relevant staff and committees to provide data support and data monitoring related to student assessment and promotion.

Generates and monitors reports related to student progress, curricular outcomes assessment, and accreditation compliance


Supports the generation of data reports of educational outcomes and evaluations (e.g., course, faculty evaluations, student grades) to support data-driven decisions of committees charged with monitoring and oversight of the curriculum and distribution to other key stakeholders.


Works in tandem with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment, the Assessment Information Systems Manager, and the Assessment Specialist to use evaluation and assessment software (e.g., Examsoft, NBME Proctor, Leo, LCME Curriculum Inventory Portal) to support data collection and run reports on medical school courses, programs, curriculum phases, exam results, course grades, and clinical rotations.

Supports LCME and other accreditation activities.

Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and

Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Experience in academic program administration and coordination.

Experience with databases and data management

Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and

Abilities Preferred:
Experience with assessment software or other complex systems.

Experience in an academic setting.
