Job Description

Position Overview:

As the Senior Network Administrator, you will take on a leadership role in designing, implementing, and maintaining organization's network systems. You will provide strategic direction, mentorship, and technical expertise to the network administration team while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to achieve optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop and implement network architecture strategies, standards, and best practices to support current and future business needs and ensure scalability.
  • Configure and manage advanced network services and protocols, such as VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, and QoS, to meet business requirements and security policies.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and proactively identify and resolve issues to optimize network efficiency and user experience.
  • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists, to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to assess network security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation measures as needed.
  • Lead network-related projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and expansions, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to minimize disruption and maximize success.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network administrators, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure accuracy and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network administration to drive innovation and ensure our network infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in network administration roles, with a proven track record of leading complex network projects and initiatives.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing network devices from leading vendors, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Aruba.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and best practices, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
