BAYAC AmeriCorps collaborates with schools and community-based organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area to serve youth and families in high-need communities. Members commit to a full-time term of service, providing youth with engagement opportunities and skill-building.

We are looking for individuals to serve in various roles such as after-school educators, classroom aides, mentors, tutors, and more. Partnering with organizations like 826 Valencia, Mission Graduates, Youth Art Exchange, and others, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career working with youth.

If you want to support and empower students, plan activities, promote a positive learning environment, and develop essential skills, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Position duties may involve:

  • Supporting students in school and life skills
  • Providing academic support
  • Facilitating lesson plans
  • Promoting a safe learning environment
  • Supervising students
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors
  • Maintaining records

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or a lawful permanent resident
  • At least 17 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Completion of TB test and Live Scan
