Sr. Manager – IT G&A Systems (Finance)

Protagonist Therapeutics is seeking a Sr. Manager – IT G&A Systems (Finance) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with systems administration of Coupa, NetSuite, Expensify etc. MUST HAVE experience ensuring effective internal controls, including SOX compliance for all Finance systems.

This is an onsite position, with 3 days in the office and 2 day being remote.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead ongoing development, maintenance, and administration of various IT applications.

Ensure effective internal controls associated with the system are maintained, including SOX compliance by documenting roles, systems, security changes etc.

Provides leadership for the maintenance, upgrades and other core components of the ERP and other financial system software. Assures software modifications and upgrades are successfully tested before implementation to the live environment.
Understand and interpret business requirements and effectively implement solutions. Lead meetings and provide strategic vision to any technical concerns.
Design and provide end user training and support users with systems related questions.
Support internal and external audits while ensuring data integrity and timeliness.

Build relationships with functional teams within the organization and provide support, answer system related questions and resolve concerns and issues.

Understanding of finance business processes including GL, Financial reporting, AP / AR etc.
Provide technical direction and set & drive a technical roadmap in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or similar STEM concentration.
8+ years of application administration, development, design, configuration etc.
System Administration Experience with Coupa and NetSuite is a MUST.
System Administration Certificates for Coupa and/or NetSuite are NICE TO HAVE.
Experience at a public company under SOX compliance requirements.
Experience with actively working with/supporting a Finance team within a Public Company environment.
Strong understanding of financial accounting concepts
Effective communication with all levels, including management and external parties.


The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $140,000 and $180,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.


Protagonist Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company with peptide-based new chemical entities (NCEs) rusfertide and JNJ-2113 (formerly PN-235) in advanced stages of clinical development, both derived from the Company's proprietary technology platform.

Protagonist and Janssen scientists jointly discovered PN-235 (now known as JNJ-2113) as part of Protagonist's Interleukin-23 receptor (IL-23R) collaboration with Janssen and followed it through IND-enabling pre-clinical and Phase 1 studies, with Janssen assuming responsibility for further clinical development.

Rusfertide, a mimetic of the natural hormone hepcidin, is the Company's lead drug candidate currently in a global Phase 3 development program.

The randomized portion of the Phase 2 REVIVE study was unblinded, showing positive results and is now complete, with an open-label extension underway.

The global Phase 3 VERIFY study of rusfertide in polycythemia vera is ongoing. Protagonist retains all worldwide development and commercialization rights to rusfertide.
