We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to drive the expansion of our strategic initiatives and accelerate the development of our next-generation multimodal AI products. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing a compelling product vision that leverages the capabilities of Large Multimodal Modals (LMMs) to meet the market needs and drive business growth. You will explore, validate, and pioneer new and creative ways to integrate the latest research breakthroughs into our next-generation products. Additionally, you will lead cross-functional teams through the design, development, and delivery phases, ensuring our product and solutions align with strategic objectives and customer needs. By augmenting the already capable LLM based systems with the abilities to perceive, listen, and create, you will be joining SambaNova in our journey to redefine how multimodal AI products can transform businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate a compelling Large Multimodal Model product roadmap and strategy
  • Drive the integration of LMM technology into product offerings, exploring new ways to leverage multimodal capabilities to enhance user experiences and deliver value
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay on top of latest industry developments, emerging technologies, competitive analysis, and best practices in LMM development, informing product roadmap and strategy
  • Translate prominent research breakthroughs into tangible product features
  • Lead cross-functional teams in design, development, and delivery of innovative new AI products and solutions, ensuring alignment across teams and with respect to customer requirements
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, marketing, sales, and product to align product development efforts and drive successful product launches
  • Engage with customer to gather feedback, understand pain points, and prioritize product enhancements, ensuring continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience working in LMM research or product development
  • 5+ years of Product Management or Technical Product Management experience
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong background in artificial intelligence, with expertise in multimodal model research and product development
  • Proven track record of success in product management roles, with experience leading the development and launch of AI-driven products or services
  • Strategic mindset with ability to think critically, anticipate market trends, and develop innovative product strategies
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional user experiences, with a customer-centric approach to product development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to grasp complex technical concepts and articulate it to diverse audiences
  • Self-starter, with a hands-on demeanor in a multifaceted fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with or applying Large Language Models in products
  • Experience with computer vision models and recommendation systems
  • Rapid prototyping experience with different products and services to validate product market fit
  • Proficient in Python
  • Possess an active interest in emerging research and industry trends
Annual Salary Range and Level:
The base salary for this position ranges from $125,000.00 per year up to $195,000.00 per year. This range is based on role, level, and location and reflects the salary target for new hires in the US. Individual pay within the range will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
