Job Summary:

The Enrollment Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient enrollment of members into Medicare Advantage plans. This position involves researching, processing, and coordinating complex reconciliation tasks related to Employer Group, Individual and Family, and Medicare Advantage accounts. The successful candidate will navigate compliance requirements, State and Federal regulations, and Employer Group/Medicare Advantage coordination of benefits. Additionally, they will create and implement processes to enhance compliance, manage group contracts, and contribute to departmental value stream initiatives. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with CMS (Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services) regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate discrepancies in enrollment data and resolve issues related to compliance, revenue-based CMS status codes, and beneficiaries.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management and Employer Groups.
  • Enroll members of the postal service health benefit board who are transitioning into the Medicare group.
  • Utilize the MARx system to verify coverage and facilitate seamless enrollment.
  • Separate postal service members from government members as needed.
  • Conduct limited but essential outbound calls related to enrollment processing.
  • Ensure precise coding of Medicare and Group coverage contracts in the membership system.
  • Maintain accurate records of CMS-related and Employer Group data.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required.
  • Existing credit history (used for ID verification through credit bureaus) to access MARx systems.
  • 3-5 years of administrative experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a health plan/health insurance department.
  • Computer literacy with a typing speed of 40 WPM.
  • Proficiency in database management and MS Office applications (Excel and Word).
  • Familiarity with membership and billing functions.
  • Four (4) years of health plan experience within a Medicare managed care plan. (Preferred)
  • This role operates in a highly regulated environment overseen by CMS (Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services) and OPM (Office of Personnel Management).
