Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist, Adolescent Day Treatment role involves working with adolescents and their families, offering therapy services within the Adolescent Day Treatment program. Therapists deliver individual, family, and group therapy, along with handling clinical documentation related to diagnosing, treatment planning, and skills strategies for a client caseload. Work Hours

Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of mental health services for clients
  • Conduction of diagnostic assessments and development of treatment plans
  • Provision of ongoing therapy including individual, group, and family therapy, as well as completion of treatment planning and interventions
  • Utilization of cultural competency, evidence-based practices, and active engagement in learning within a collaborative team setting
  • Maintenance of timely service documentation
  • Performance of assigned duties
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, or related field
  • Mental health professional licensure such as LP, LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW preferred
  • Experience in working with diverse clients
  • Strong organizational skills for documentation completion
  • Familiarity with effective therapeutic modalities
  • Prior experience in diagnostic assessments and treatment planning preferred

  • Ability to establish positive relationships with a variety of clients and professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to collaborate and build strong relationships
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel programs
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Sound understanding of clinical work in a community-based mental health center
