Responsibilities:
Facilitate client team meetings, including recording and publishing meeting notes.
Assist teams of engineers in developing the project-specific scope of work documents.
Assist with and coordinate teams of engineers reviewing design submittals.
Apply thorough broad-based knowledge of electric utility projects.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborate with internal and client subject matter experts to continuously improve the documents.
Keep informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization and recommend new practices or changes in emphasis of programs.
Assist in quality control and quality assurance of active projects, providing peer reviews and training of engineers and designers in quality control processes.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, and can develop, implement, and maintain processes for document control.Mentor engineers and staff provides training assistance.
Manage assigned projects, including responsibility for delivering scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability.
Coordinate and develops proposed scope, schedule, and fee for projects managed.
Demonstrate proficiency of fundamental project management skills and use of project management techniques and practices to increase productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
Work closely with Project Controls/Accounting staff to monitor and control project cost and billings to meet budget profit, analyze project performance data on an ongoing basis, and develop recovery plans as needed.
Serve as primary client contact for projects managed and actively win new work from both new and existing clients by building and maintaining customer relationships, monitoring future work opportunities, and communicating regularly.
Travel to other offices, meet with clients and attend project-specific meetings (approximately 10% annually).Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or better in Engineering or related field.
10 Years of experience working with electric utility capital projects.
Experience working with Primavera scheduling software required
Communicates effectively with clients, management, peers, and subordinates. Strong verbal and written communication and organization skills are required.
Effective leadership skills are required.
Demonstrate Project Management expertise in developing project schedules, cost budgets, and understanding and analysis of the financial data.
Demonstrate mastery of intermediate to advanced project management financial concepts, including developing pricing, cost budget monitoring, and calculating profit.
Demonstrate understanding of software as needed to perform the duties described here, including Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite applications and software.
