Lead Civil Engineering Project Specialist

We are currently seeking a Lead Civil Engineering Project Specialist with a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering and a Pennsylvania PE license (or the ability to obtain a PA PE license) along with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, coordination, and management of highway design initiatives, as well as the preparation of construction documents, right-of-way plans, specifications, and project cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Project Manager in all phases of engineering assignments; ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle; provide mentorship to junior staff on technical matters.
Assist in the formulation and oversight of scopes, budgets, and timelines for specific project tasks; supervise team members to ensure completion of their responsibilities; assess project staffing needs and coordinate with management; uphold company policies and procedures; contribute to all financial aspects of projects.
Engage in design development, review, and management of assignments; execute highway engineering designs including horizontal and vertical geometry using CAD software (MicroStation, OpenRoads) in accordance with AASHTO guidelines and relevant local government regulations; perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and design stormwater management systems; verify deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with engineering standards, company policies, client contract stipulations, and related specifications.
