What are you working toward?
Based on your work ethic, development and dedication to your role, with support from your local branch and job-site leadership, you will develop and strengthen your skill sets We are seeking ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Insulators to become part of our team Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Remove insulation and lagging as required by the specification or as directed by the supervisor.
  2. Cut to size and install all types of structural and piping insulation.
  3. Work with apprentice and helpers to remove, cut and install insulation.
  4. Make sure work site and areas are clean of construction debris.
Requirements for this role include:
  1. Candidates must have at least 5 years marine or shipyard insulation experience.
  2. Must be able to comprehend instructions, drawings and general correspondence. Must have understanding of ship repair terminology and ship compartment location terminology.
  3. Must be physical and medically capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, respirators, etc.
  4. Use basic math.
  5. Must have full knowledge of WAF's, basic knowledge of Standard Items an shop equipment.
