JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Floor Care Specialist is responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean, safe, and attractive condition, in alignment with hospital and Joint Commission standards. This role involves performing floor care tasks at off-site buildings and other housekeeping duties as assigned.

  • Provides maintenance to hard surface floors using various techniques such as stripping, buffing, and burnishing
  • Ensures cleanliness of carpeted floors through vacuuming, shampooing, and spot removal
  • Properly handles cleaning chemicals according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards
  • Follows procedures for disposing of waste and trash, including infectious materials
  • Responds to emergency spills in accordance with department guidelines and safety standards
  • Operates and maintains equipment as per established procedures
  • Reports equipment and facility issues promptly
  • Conducts general housekeeping tasks as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
PREFERRED:
  • Previous experience in professional housekeeping
  • Experience in carpet cleaning and hard surface floor care
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking
