We are looking for Union HVAC Service Technicians to join F.E. Moran Group of Companies and work on projects in the Chicagoland Area.

As a HVAC Technician, you will perform a wide variety of skilled tasks involved in the maintenance, repair, and replacement of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning equipment in the commercial and industrial business sectors.

You will also have the opportunity to complete project installations that requires collaboration, planning, expertise, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Member of LU 597, required
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of HVAC maintenance and repair, hazard, and safety practices common to the trade
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to think critically, analyze, and problem solve to drive results
  • Work independently as a self-starter
  • Utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties
  • Ability to travel to job sites local to the Chicagoland Area

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect HVAC systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs, and recommending preventative maintenance
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on HVAC systems; calibrate system controls; install new systems
  • Maintain maintenance records and reports as required by the Company, Customer, City, and State
  • Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability of items required to complete necessary installations and repairs
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate HVAC service issues
  • Adhere to safety practices and comply with OSHA requirements
