Job Summary:
Bayside Volkswagen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead and manage our service department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry and exceptional leadership skills to oversee a team of technicians and service advisors.

This is a full-time, management role with competitive salary and benefits.

Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daytoday operations of the service department
  • Manage and lead a team of service advisors and technicians
  • Ensure smooth and efficient workflow in the service department
  • Monitor and track technician productivity and efficiency
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase service department revenue and profitability
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and handle any escalated customer concerns
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturer representatives
  • Hire, train, and mentor new service department employees
  • Create and maintain departmental budgets

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proven track record of improving service department profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in computer programs and systems related to service operations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college education preferred
