Responsibilities:

  • Write high quality, full stack code to deliver new features.
  • Maintain existing features by adding to or modifying their functionality to meet changing business requirements.
  • Support day-to-day tax services operations by resolving blocking issues raised through our internal product committee.
  • Design, prototype, and estimate delivery times for major changes.
  • Engage in our quality processes: Standups, demos, PR summaries, PR reviews, issue triaging, retros, sprint planning, product committee check-ins.
  • Continuously weigh innovation vs. optimization at all levels (i.e. Do we rebuild? Or do we just enhance the process, feature, code block, etc.?)
  • Continuously improve.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 to 4 years of experience working with elements of our current technology landscape in a professional capacity, or just 1 year of experience if you have a Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related engineering field.
  • You have the desire to understand and work in every level of the web development stack.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
  • The belief that lifelong learning is one of the most appealing aspects of software engineering.
