Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise in sheet metal and manufacturing to collaborate with sales and engineering teams, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of customer and project requirements to formulate precise cost estimates.
  • Interpret project drawings and specifications, identify material needs, and prepare accurate cost assessments for sheet metal initiatives.
  • Engage with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to collect essential information, guaranteeing the accuracy of your estimates.
  • Employ analytical skills to evaluate project demands, explore pricing alternatives, and provide recommendations aimed at cost optimization.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed project layouts and facilitate collaboration with architects and engineers.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing estimation software is advantageous.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with project teams, suppliers, and clients.
  • Negotiate and collaborate to gather precise information, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, delivering cost-effective solutions that align with client specifications.
  • Analyze requirements to ensure that appropriate documentation and specifications are considered, providing accurate and competitive quotes conducive to a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure meticulous record-keeping and documentation, analyzing data related to tooling, service charges, and inventory requirements.
  • Conduct research and evaluation of demand requirements and lead times as necessary.
  • Effectively manage multiple customer projects and quotes to meet demand.
  • Communicate and report changes to schedules, issues, and performance metrics to various stakeholders as required.
  • Utilize CAD and drafting software as needed to assist in the quoting process.
  • Analyze drawings for materials, fabrication processes, and design elements to determine necessary manufacturing processes and tools.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a precision sheet metal manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings from various formats (Pro-E, AutoCAD, Fabriwin, SolidWorks, Dr.Abe).
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions.
  • Strong time management skills, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Commitment to quality standards in all work performed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring accuracy and completeness of work.
