- Consistently provide acceleration and support interventions for designated scholars;
- Continuously develop instructional expertise by deeply engaging in weekly professional development and 1-1 coaching with Instructional coaches;
- Administer formative and summative assessments as required;
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and detailed records in all school-wide platforms such as STEPtool, PowerSchool, Illuminate and DeansList
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and detailed documentation on scholar progress through scholar portfolios, progress reports, assessment files, and report cards;
- Provide coverage support when required to ensure scholar learning and safety continues uninterrupted;
- Communicate daily with all families regarding scholar academic and social/emotional progress through school-based applications (apps), phone, and email;
- Lead and support schoolwide and grade level initiatives such as Parent University Nights, Spread the Love Week, Black History Month, 100th Day of School, Awards Ceremony;
- Participate in school wide initiatives such as weekend recruitment events, evening parent workshops, and other events with advanced notice outside of regular work week;
- Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Manager of Culture and Instruction.
Prior Experience. At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience at elementary or middle school level and a demonstrated ability to raise achievement levels of traditionally underserved students highly preferred. Sense of humility, urgency, and interest in growing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Start Date - July 1st, 2024
