Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the school administration, the Library Media Assistant will assist during non-instructional and transitional periods, and maintain classroom management for safe and orderly instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers with daily classroom management activities to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Ensure the classroom environment is safe and conducive to learning.
  • Oversee students during non-classroom times, including in-between classes, during lunch, and on-field excursions.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify and address student issues and recommend solutions.
  • Document student progress as requested by the teacher and communicate with parents under the supervision of the teacher.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved Paraprofessional certificate, preferred.
