Overview
Our client, a prominent player in the roofing and construction materials sector, is seeking a Finance Director for their North American Shared Services division. With a solid track record of success in the industry, our client prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

The ideal candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and spearhead the Pricing/Billing, Rebate, and Credit Departments to ensure streamlined operations across all North American units. Additionally, they will provide oversight for the Shared Service Center in Wilmington.


Responsibilities:

  • Assess and enhance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize processes and address inquiries.
  • Work with department heads to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage special projects and coordinate departmental initiatives.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the organization during periods of change.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes.

Expectations:

  • Establish objectives for invoicing, accounts receivable, pricing, and credit teams.
  • Create performance dashboards and analyze results against KPIs.
  • Train, motivate, and evaluate team members to drive productivity.
  • Develop departmental strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Lead pricing, billing, and rebate departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • A postgraduate degree would be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a corporate setting.
  • Background in customer-centric roles.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable.
  • Proficiency in leadership, project management, and problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and initiative-driven skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement effective policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in PC software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), ERP systems, Salesforce, Concur, and Workday.
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site with occasional overtime.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the US and Canada.
