Join RWJBarnabas Health, the leading integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, that is currently looking for a Medical Director for the Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center based in Livingston, NJ. This Burn Center, the only state-certified burn treatment facility in New Jersey, provides specialized services for patients of all ages with a wide range of burn injuries. They have a dedicated outpatient department for minor burns and offer follow-up care for discharged patients.
As the Medical Director, you will work closely with the Administrative Director of the Burn Service to ensure that the care provided meets high standards following hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve strategic planning for growth, reviewing and implementing policy changes, and engaging in community outreach through the Transfer Center for burn patients. Moreover, you will serve as the department's spokesperson, actively contributing to the development of all clinical activities.
Key Requirements:
- Board certification in General Surgery
- Board certification in Surgical Critical Care
- Previous experience in burn care (either Burn Fellowship trained or a minimum of 2 years of experience in burns, as per the American Burn Association verification process)
- Active NJ license or eligibility for NJ licensure
