Job Overview:
As a Cardiovascular Technologist at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, you will be responsible for operating and assessing monitoring of patients in the Cardiac Catherization Lab. You will administer individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of cardiac catherization lab procedures. You will assume responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures. You will assist the Medical Director with Cath/PCI, peripheral, structural heart (Mitraclip, Watchman), EP cases, and neuro. You will adhere to on call policy requirements. You will execute special assignments with the lab. You will participate in quality improvement programs and inventory control. You will use an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 6 months clinical experience preferred but not required.
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Current RCIS certification or RAD license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- Certified/Licensed CVT or RT in NJ
