We are currently seeking a People Services Coordinator who will thrive in a dynamic start-up environment. This is an ideal role for a detail oriented early career professional who is hungry to learn and grow in a fast-paced, startup setting.

This role will be based in our North Hills, Raleigh, North Carolina HQ and we work in a hybrid model with 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

Job Overview:

The People Services Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the daily administrative functions of the Relay facility, supporting team members when needed, and coordinating with external vendors and service providers. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. As part of people services, this role will work cross functionally with all the departments within Relay and work closely with our IT and Security team.

What you will do:

  • Office Administration & Facilities Management:
  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Responsible for coordinating and resolving any maintenance needs with our property management group.
  • Ensure the office environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate maintenance, cleaning services, and any necessary repairs.
  • Oversee office layout changes, workspace organization and updating facilities map.

Team Member Support:

  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including setting up workstations and providing the People Services orientation.
  • This individual will be the main point of contact for team members who are looking for assistance with facilities or any other People Services requests.

Relay Event Planning:

  • Plan and organize company events, challenges, all hands meetings, and other social events.
  • Manage logistics, including booking venues, and arranging catering
  • Support departments with off-site planning and coordination for events
  • Coordinate and attend career fairs and other recruitment/community partnership events.

What you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in office management or a related administrative role.
  • Strong project management, organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a service oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with autonomy and as part of a team.
