Learning & Development (L&D) Facilitator

The primary role of this position is to develop and deliver highly effective training and learning opportunities and to develop each employee to their highest potential through training, coaching and leadership.
The salary range for this position is $48,711.94 to $60, New hires typically brought into the organization at a rate between the range minimum and the range maximum, depending on the qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Must be well educated in conducting/facilitating training offerings, programs, workshops and specialty training sessions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, process improvement and learning metrics, and apply this knowledge to the role.
- Provide skilled, professional facilitation of training, both in-person and virtual, using a variety of delivery methods such as polling, case studies, role plays, exercises, etc. Utilize best learning practices in designing and delivering learning offerings.
- Communicate clearly, facilitate discussion, provide helpful feedback, and build learner self-efficacy.
- Apply learning theories and design engaging, challenging and transferable training materials, training aids, training modules/courses and procedures in order to deliver professional, error-free training. Training must drive critical thinking, development of mastery, judgement and agility, self-efficacy, knowledge transfer and behavior change in learners.
- Utilize pleasing, approachable facilitation style to create positive, upbeat learning experiences.
- Assess learners in real time for learning styles, absorption of learning content, needs for further explanation or practice, and adjust training accordingly to best meet the needs of learners.
- Track the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, surveys and feedback from the learners and managers.
- Update outdated training content and keep abreast of current regulations, procedural changes, thought leadership and best practices. Seek and utilize professional resources to stay current on best practices.
- Take ownership of content and master areas as assigned, and cross-train in other content areas to be able to support other members of the L&D Team.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Del Norte policies, procedures and regulations.
- Support learning initiatives as assigned.
- Create and maintain a high degree of skill and professionalism in delivering learning offerings; role model a high degree of professionalism for all DNCU learners.
- Collaborate with managers and relevant stakeholders to identify areas for learning and process improvement to ensure the DNCU staff are achieving their highest potential.
- Collaborate with Knowledge Management to gather and maintain organizational knowledge; imbed into learning offerings.
- Utilize input from all parts of DNCU to address training/learning issues and needs that arise.
- Participate actively in team activities and responsibilities. Contribute to team processes such as project management, curriculum and training design, metrics gathering, and other essential functions of the L&D Team.
- Demonstrate enthusiastic support of DNCU's mission, vision, values and long-term objectives.
- Work effectively as a team member of the L&D Team, and with other teams across the enterprise.
- Possess and promote effective knowledge of DNCU's products and services.
- Comply with all regulations and security procedures, and complete all mandatory annual compliance courses.
- Attend training to learn new systems, content, learning methods and best practices.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Experience:
Three years to five years of similar or related experience including training, learning and facilitation. Experience in financial services desired.
Education:
At least ONE of the following:
- A two-year college degree, or
- Completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or
- Completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or
- Job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

May require siting or standing for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Work Environment:
May require working non-traditional work hours to support training needs. Travel required between offices; must have reliable transportation.
